proces2
i am using the create polygon function (in sub-object mode) for an editable mesh to create some geometry (in Max 5). it is only letting me create a polygon using vertices that already exist within the object. with VIZ 4, i can create a polygon and snap to any vertex in the scene on any other object. is there some way to switch it to the way VIZ 4 works? sean

Hiroshi
Sorry about the late reply, but you could use the "attach" feature in the edit mesh rollout. I assume you are trying to attach the flat face and make it a triangular shape to the box on the right.
proces2
not really. i am simply trying to be able to snap to the vertices on other objects within the scene (vertices that are NOT apart of the selected object) while in sub-object - create polygon mode. its something that is possible (and amazingly handy) in VIZ 4, but doesn't seem to be in MAX 5. sean
