general 3D softawre Camera question...

Hi,

I don't really know if my question fits this forum.

it's a general camera question.it could apply to any 3d softwre so i didn't want to put it in max forum.

here it is.

i would like, while keeping the same perspective, to enlarge my pic on the left and right.

An old plugin for max did that

look for "Overscan" script.

i used to use it but it's outdated for nowadays max versions.

 

Anyone knows the theory behind this ?

i'd like to do this for a present project, but i don't know how to proceed.
