Dave Buckley Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 I have a scene/animation in Navisworks, i am going to be exporting the animation as a sequence of images as it is quite long and wouldn't want it to crash half way through. I also use 3ds max, normally when i render out an animation from 3ds max i give it to another guy who puts it through a render farm. I was wondering if i can do the same with Navisworks??? It would be awesome if i could use a render farm with Navis, it would be even better if i could use the one we already have setup for 3ds max Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You're going to have one second render times per frame..... is a farm really necessary? but to answer your question directly, no I don't think you can farm it. BrianKitts Posted November 6, 2008 Share Posted November 6, 2008 I have to ammend my original comment.... it does do more than an OpenGL render, it's internal rendering component was giving us about a one minute frame time.... the unfortunate part is that navisworks isn't multithreaded and only processes on one of eight cores.
