Neil Woodhouse
Greetings, Anybody got any good ideas on how to lay quions up onto the corners of buildings without having to instance all the time, god it gets so boring Neil
mattclinch
Quoins? Have you tried arraying them?
Stephen Thomas
I'm not sure if this is any easier/different from your workflow, but generally I draw the 2 different sized rectangles then array them up as far as I need. Then add a bevel modifier and flip them over to the other side of the corner offsetting vertically by one course. This then gives me a group to instance around the other corners. It is a bit laborious, but I can't think of an easier way really. Displacement for instance would take just as long to set up I think and once you've created them once you can just merge them into other scenes. Neil Woodhouse
Mmmm, I remember trying array sometime back. I wasn't happy with the result. Perhaps a revisit is in order.

A.Mitov
Model the quoins, chemfer(or bevel) them, position them in the right place and array along Z-axis - the way I would do it.
