innerdream
I'm trying to get the hdri's to work well, so far it doesn't seem to take to the ones I have well. Anyhow, CC welcome.
AJLynn
That did work, you just need to jack it up a little and add a direct light.
innerdream
That did work, you just need to jack it up a little and add a direct light. So add an infinite light as a direct light? I was trying for early evening, dusk type light. I couldn't find how to rotate the hdri either? AJLynn
Oh, I see what you're trying to do. The sky looked to me more like a late afternoon where you'd still be seeing sun. How did you apply the HDRI? Is it a spherical mapped texture on a dome? You know, with those you ca click on the texture tag on the object and in the lower right window, one of the tabs is Coordinates, you want to change the H rotation in there. Or spin the dome until it looks the way you want. AJ's suggestions works really well for rotating environmental reflections.
innerdream
Ahh. Okay, I changed the sky you were right AJ and I will try mapping the hdri to a dome. I had it mapped to a sky. Cheers! I need to do a little PS on it but I think it's closer. Edited November 11, 2008 by innerdream
AJLynn
Putting it on a dome might be slower than a sky, you should try an experiment with that.
innerdream
Will do. How's this look to you guys?
AJLynn
Definitely improving. Your outside lighting has a bit more blue cast to it which suits the sky better and I like the balance between exterior light on the right and interior on the left. There's something going on with the lighting on the road...
