chortik
Hi, I have a problem with v-ray frame buffer while rendering in larger resolutions, like 3000*2500 and more. It seems to crash if there is some serious geometry in my file. It did not do it, when I used max 8 and v-ray 1.5 then it was ok, but after changing to 2008 and 2009 all these problems occurred. Urgent help is needed. Best regards, C.
Ricardo Eloy
Are you saving to a VRay Raw Image file and turning off the Memory Frame Buffer option?

Tim Fairbanks
Running out of memory? In Windows XP 32-bit, max will crash at about 1.8gb of memory use (per application, not total memory use). Keep an eye on your task manager if you suspect a memory related crash. TimF

TimF In task manager it shows that memory usage burst to sky before it will crash. Any tricks to avoid that?

logesh_v
hey , y dont u increase ur page file size? there are many reasons for max crashing at heavy scenes... 1) major cause i have seen is because ppl use graphic mode as direct3d...change this to Open GL 2)if ur max crashes still increase ur page file size.... rt clk my computer--> advanced tab-->clk settings under ur performance.-->then clk advanced and select Change under the virtual memory..--> increase ur maximum size to the recommended size...ie., ur page file can be 1.5 times of ur physical ram present.... 3) if u still have problems...then u better change to 64 bits...OS and 3dsmax regards, V.logesh
