sdds
this is probably really simple but I still don't get it lol.. Iam rendering an animation, done separate pass for light cache and irradiance every 5th frame and set both to from file. Now when I render each frame its doing 4 pre passes for something.... What? shouldn't it just render the frame?
Thablanch
would you have an interpolated material in your scene?
sdds
yes, would it be faster with higher subdivs?
MegaPixel
I believe you only want to use Interpolation in your materials if you are rendering Stills. Try unticking this option in the materials that use it and see if that makes a difference - It should
Thablanch
Interpolated materials gives you extra passes.. so it is a possible reason for the extra passes. You should not use it, should have been more precise... sorry..
