Vray Blend Material

I've been trying to create an illuminated sign with no success.

 

Can you use Vray Blend Material for that?

 

I was thinking of using Vray Light Material for the base material,

and the signage bitmap image for the coating material.

 

If not, how would you do it?

vray blend mat, is not very usefull in my opinion, I rather use max blend mat with vray under-mats.

 

with vray blend mat you do not have an easy control over the amount of mix for exmaple, although you got chance to use bigger amount of materials mixed.

about the iluminated sign, why don't u use vraylitgth mat with the bitmap as opasity map or a vray mat with a bitmap with 2.0 RGB output, etc. there are other several ways to do it, tho.
