whori
Hi everyone, maybe anyone got any suggestions on making material with vray that will look wet..like wet road, asphalt or something.. Thanks
BrianKitts
making things wet is all about the reflection. Make yourself a patchy, splotchy black/white map for the reflection channel of your material, then just have some fun playing with the contrast and size of the map.. google = always good for reference images.... http://swedish.wunderground.com/data/wximagenew/g/gemini/1227.jpg

danb4026
Put the reflection map on a different map channel and add another uvw map to the object with the new channel selected and map as you want, separate from the diffuse map mapping. Thablanch
I'm using the procedural planet map, turning continents and water to black and white ( in the reflection slot, of course), you can play with sizes, amounts, and the way that the water dries down near the asphalt.. no tiling and quite a lot of flexibility.. here is an example of what I did with that: http://features.cgsociety.org/newgallerycrits/g74/161274/161274_1144666867_large.jpg
