Devin Johnston
It looks like that file is corrupt; does it only do it with that file or every file you open?
sideshow tpc
I've had this before to....was a while ago, but I think changing the static setting to dynamic fixed it

LordRaven
I got this in the past too... when I was still using 32 bit xp. How much ram do you have? Are you using a 64 bit operating system or 32?
leclercq_d
I think you scene is to havy make some vray proxis of your models and rerender or render a vrimg file and turn off render to framebuffer. then reopen you *.vrimg file in max and save as a png or jpg ... Jason Matthews
If this is happening when you are rendering try reducing the image size to like 400 pixels and see if that works. If it does than it is a memory problem. If so then do what leclercq_d described in his post. Hopefully you can at least do small rendering previews. fadi3d
hello guys' thank for all ur help first of all i tried the synamic/static thing with no luck. @ Alex yes my operating system is 32 with 4 Gig Ram @ Dominique No my scene is not really heavy cause i used to render at least bigger scenes by a factor of 1.5 to 2 @ Jason the thing is i could render even at 1600*1200 but if for some reason (and whatever the resolution) and try to RERENDER max craches the thing that is driving me crazy is sometimes when i render and max tries to save the final render (imagine after 10 hours of rendering) or i try manually it tells me that i cannot save the bitmap cause the program is low on memory and CRASH i hope Maxer is right and the file is corrupt or if it happens with another file i will kill myself
manta
1) if you're using 32bit windows...then its never going to use 4Gigs of ram... 2) it sounds like after the first render, that its holding it in memory, and of coarse runs out at the second render...that's strange, never had that happen to me...could be the corruption in the file, suggest you merge everything into a new scene...
