Boat Shed

This is my first client work. It is a boat shed located in the Marlbourough Sounds in New Zealand. Just waiting on him to give me the colour palette. CC welcome. Renders are at low tide. Hence the really high position. Also the final renders will be composited into photos.

getting there, but for photomontaging and being as it's work for a client, i think a hell of a lot more model detailing and a proper lighting solution is needed. the client's colour palette alone isn't enough, but hey, it's only wip stage as you say :)

Links don't work...for me, at least :(

Ignore that - my goof!

I'll second that. You might also want to increase the size of the ripples on the water although it's probably best to wait until you have the background image before you proceed with the water maps as it will govern the look of your rendered water.

This one would also benefit enormously from reflective caustics, and as it's a relatively simple scene, it shouldn't be too time consuming to render.

Definitely agree with this. With a simple scene like this you can afford to bulk up model wise, get some great wood details in and you're going to need to find some great wood textures to go with it.

Water ripples are reading as small too as mentioned above.

And a boat, get a boat, I like boats.

Yea i forgot to say that im also waiting to find out which way the wood panels on the walls go and for the floating dock and ramp. The main jetty is only there for reference for when I put the model into the photo. And the water was just to make the test renders look a bit more interesting, so im not fussed about the size of the ripples. Thanks for your comments though
