MegaPixel
Question: I would like to know why I always have to find out about 3DSMAX Service Packs and Updates on my own browsing around on the Internet rather then have them formally delivered to me via email like the Service which I am paying for proclaims it will do? Comments: Just wanted that off of my chest but otherwise, I am fairly happy with the Subscription Service. I could renew my Subscription 2 or 3 years in a row and still avoid paying the price I would for one upgrade - Assuming there will be a new release within that time frame. This seems like a good deal to me and that even an average single user license would be better off kept up to date with this plan then to let it fall behind temporarily and then updated in the future. More Questions: Is anyone else here a Service Subscriber? What are your thoughts - Worth it or Not?
Munz
Well, so far I am happy with the supscription, although, I have not taken advantage of the tutorials. I am downloading the SP1 now, and am disappointed, because it still does not seem to have the abilty to xref from autocad. I thought that was suppost to be worked out for the first upgrade. munz
MegaPixel
I'm guessing that the Xref issue is a "Version" worthy correction like maybe 6.1 because it's actually adding a feature rather then correcting an existing one (Even though it already was a feature in an earlier version...) As for the tutorials available under the subscription, are they actually different Tut's then what allready comes with version 6.0 and if so, are they any good? I've had trouble viewing downloaded Tutorials in the past with that Autodesk Viewer they make you run.
