Im sure many hear know about the CULT3D software; http://www.cult3d.com/gallery/gallery.php Its out of my range price wise now. Can anyone recommend a similar free-ware program? Im using Max 9 . I want to be able to post some objects on the net - surfaced and lit for broswer/pdf viewing. Is this the vrml format? thanks
Antisthenes
they offer a free license for personal use, i have one i was surprised they were not at SIGGRAPH but the new free thing to check out is Sophie3d http://www.sophie3d.com/website/index_en.php even stronger in my opinion but not as mature, in that you can share just a OBJ threw flash, but they are working on more interactivity like cult3d has, so i read. see my turntable ? http://members.cox.net/vegitan/cult3d/record.htm been a while since i did that 2000? but it is still cool even if i didn't get the time to add all the stuff i wanted to it, but it won 4th place. also i did some walk troughs of my apartment where all the cabinets and stuff are operable and you could follow several camera paths then walk around on your own after you ended up looking into the toilet but it looks like they are not working, I'll look into that and maybe make more, given the free time (rare) I want to find out what ever happened to this site: http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:FIg4bQuThrgJ:www.worldof3d.com/+worldof3d+cult3d&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us&client=firefox-a Edited November 21, 2008 by Antisthenes
