Robin3D
Hi. I have these pretty high-poly models which are full of double faces. They are way too detailed to delete one poly at a time. I tried using STL check in 3DsMax 2009, but all it does is show me which faces are double (which are pretty much all faces), instead of actually repairing them. Isn't there a plugin or script or any other way to fix the faces automaticly? Usefull posters get a free cookie.
BrianKitts
this was brought up once before.... there is a script, Bobo wrote one ages ago, and now Richard Annema of Splutterfish re-wrote that one and that comes with Brazil Renderer v2, so all you have to do is install Brazil RIO learning edition, and the script is there... Robin3D
I tried the script, which isn't much of a help at all. When I delete DupeFaces, it just deletes some faces which results in lots of flipped faces. Also it leaves some double faces like they were. Also I get some errors like "can't find Mesh_Select:Mesh Select in object" or something like that.
