hello to all i was wondering if any one was able to help me in playing a pattern that was made to an object (((sorta like a skin.... i was hoping to use this hexagon pattern on a building but i am unable to figure it out))) i was trying to put this pattern on to a simple box for starters.

sorry about the bad information ok i like how this hex wall looks ((if you notice it has 2 walls of hex the front is the design and the one behind it it would be the glass wall))) since i made a wall i was thinking is there any way that i can make a cylinder and applied this wall to act like a skin covering the cylinder or any other shape that i would deigned as a building if any more information is needed please let me know

You are trying to create a procedural mesh that will mold to any shape, retain its local proportions and always close neatly?

If this is the case, I dont know how to do it. But I could recommend a programmer who could write a script that will do exactly what you want. I dont make anything off it by the way, Ive used him before and he was just awesome.

lol sorry for the confusion ............ ok i am looking for a way that i can make something and applied it like a skin to any object . Tommy L has the idea of what i am trying to achieve.
