femmyextra
I did a model in revit and the file size of the revit file is 41Mb. I want to take it to 3ds max for rendering. Unfortunatley the file size juped to 113Mb after I exported it to the Fbx format. I tried the Dwg/Dxf export but its not working too. I mean the file size is killing my system even before the start of the rendering. Does anyone have an idea of how I can reduce the file size??.......pls help!! Crazy Homeless Guy
What was the file size when you brought it into Max? Also, make sure you have compress when save turned on in your Max preferences.
odouble
I will import it with the DWG option instead. FBX import has not really worked that well for me. The biggest headache with importing some of those files is that you have all sorts of useless geometry in your max file like "window silicon 001"
