Canadian Architectural market inquiry

These questions are for the Canadian fellows or people working in Canada, thank you in advance for your help...

I applied for the Canadian citizenship a few years ago after our last big crises in Argentina which left me unemployed.

In the meantime I got a position at an architect office in an island belonging to the Netherlands Antilles (I'm an architect), although the original plan was still going to Canada.

Time passed and now that the clock is ticking cause I have a deadline to either go to Canada or lose my citizenship status.

Things are really slow here (although not terrible so far). On the other hand I managed to have a position in the office and having some contacts as freelance renderer, so I'm facing a tough decision weather to risk leaving what I have and go to Canada without a job in this particular bad global context, or lose the citizenship granted.

Normally I won't doubt to leave but in this global scenario I don't know what to expect and having a family to sustain, the perspective of being unemployed for a while is quite disturbing.

Basically, can you guys tell me how is the architectural / construction market nowadays there? (and the economy in general)

I heard a lot about not having canadian experience is a major issue at the moment of the hiring and I wonder if it would be better to apply as a render artist than a designer or even a draftsman (where for sure I'll be limited at the beginning for not being familiar with constructive methods, regulation or even measure system). Which one would be better in terms of salary? and what salary range should I expect?

Finally, could anyone pass me a model of a resume suited for the Canadian market?

Thank you
