Tommy L
Im quite pleased with this one so far. One of a series, but the other camera views are very boring....this one's for fun, but the client wont be into it so it will die soon. Comments much appreciated, it may end up in the portfolio. Horhe
Looks nice. What is that checker board texture on the bed? Looks like the image has been erased out easing toward transparency and a empty background layer under photoshop if you know what I mean. Perphaps some more action on the wooden cabinet, a pen, some yellow note paper. What would really bring it up IMO would be a person besides the window looking away, of course affected by the DOF all the way... Edit: The pillow while seems ok, could use some more creases just make it that more believable. Edited December 4, 2008 by Horhe
Nic H
looks good, is the dof in vray or post? i reckon a good displacement map on the bed cover (someone posted one recently) to gte some more shadows / detail in the mid ground and maybe some more background detail, a table / chair edge or something. Tommy L
he DOF was a very quick cheat in PS. I have DOF-pro, but didnt use it on this occasion. Thanks for the comments, I will post an update as soon as its rendered.

innerdream
Cool. The wood texture looks like plastic to me.
Crazy Homeless Guy
Nice color grading. I would work on the material for the wood though. It has a plastic laminate look to it, which makes the hotel seem lower end. I think a custom reflection map that shows the specular on the harder areas of the grain, and lessens them on the softer areas of the grain might do the trick. You might even be able to scuff up the reflection map ever so slightly to give it a little character. Edit: A finer grained wood would add to the sophistication also. Chad Warner
My issue with the wood is that any furniture maker worth his salt would never have a piece of wood with that much "bump" on it, unless he was going for "rustic". I think if you want to go with variation, you should do what CHG says and try a custom map in the reflection slot.
