Hello Claudio,

A new collaboration. I still have all my architectural clients, but Ive got together with a photographer (http://www.klphoto.net) and a retoucher (http://www.joeybluebird.com) and now we have all moved into the same studio (to form Burning Boy Studio). We are doing all sorts of interesting things. Creating our own HDRI's, rendering sets for photography, I even rendered an octopus for an underwater car shot yesterday.

We have only just started out, so we are doing the portfolio images which is really good fun and stretching our capabilities. Each discipline has a body of clients, so hopefully the work will begin to take advantage of each others skills as the clients become aware of the capabilities we have.

I also meant to ask if some of those images were HDR-based. I recently attended a seminar featuring Ben Willmore and he discussed techniques for creating HDR-based images. Some of your images reminded me of his.

I noticed the Real Flow image from your Blog as well. Is that your work?

I have been using RF too. It is an incredible app if you can rough it through the learning curve.

I am glad to see you getting to move into other areas of 3D besides architecture. I am certain it can provide inspiration for others...

I love RF and as soon as I get a job that justifies the purchase, Ill buy it. Im just using the demo at the moment. I bought the Gnomon training DVD for it also, but havent had time to watch it yet.

I tried creating HDRI's on my own, it was a nightmare. Working with a high end pro photographer really does change the way you work. I am very lucky to be working with a retoucher and a photographer with 30 years each in the business. We all learn from each other, partly by requesting things that we usually wouldnt be asked to do.

I was just checking out your site. It looks really nice. I like the clean and simple feel of it. Also the collaboration between the 3 people sounds really fun. Good luck with everything.

I have a few comments about the site.

under 'CGI things' it shows as having 8 pieces while there are really only 7.

Also, it would be nice to be able to navigate backwards on the portfolio pieces starting at image 1. Be able to go from the first portfolio image to the last one without having to go thru everything.
