SgWRX
i've been working on metal material to use for window frames etc. i knew that just setting the glossy value to something low wasn't good enough, so i ended up approaching it as though it's really metal, ie, like the copper arch&design preset. i ended up getting something which i think might be a good representation of say a bronze metal frame that you might use around a building's windows. interesting thing though, in the two renders, one has FG+Highlights only turned on, the other does not have it turned on. besides the reflection of the two posts not being in the material with the FG+Highlights only checked, a curious thing is that the sun reflection seems brighter WITH the FG+Highlights turned on and darker OFF. i wonder if that's a function of the log exp control? everything is pretty much default settings and you can see the material setting.
