how do you render cloth in maya with maxwell?

i'm trying to render a 200 frame animation in maya with maxwell, but maxwell will only render the first frame in any sequence i describe, and never render out changed frames...just the same frame 200 times.

 

maxwell can render the cloth in different states, but it won't render the animation.

 

am i doing something wrong? what could be the problem?

maxwell doesn't support animation at all as I read somewhere a few months ago.

If Maxwell doesn't support animation -- what's the point???

 

Even scanline can do a pretty good still image....
