Koper
So we have a bit of a small prob since we recently upgraded to vray SP2. We get different colors and contrast using the two different light map calculations methods. But we didn't get this probl in SP1. I linked two small videos (634kb) to show the difference. Animation pre-pass: http://www.nationalgraphix.com/ani/animationprepass.mpg Incremental add..: http://www.nationalgraphix.com/ani/incrementaladd.mpg and the settings If anyone know of a previous post or something, pls link it Thanx A
Koper
thats the way we render all animations, first calculate the lightmaps, then rendering using the lightmaps from file. the attached images only shows the setup for when we render from file. both works perfectly, just not together, and that meens when we render animated objects with the animation pre-pass method the color and contast changes significantly. Koper
no, thats not the case, we get the same quality even if we split up sections of the animation -- Inc.Add then Ani.preP, then Inc.add, then .... and so on the different methods look the same respectavely to each other. and we render over a network. We calculate Inc.Add lightmaps only on one pc to avoid the flickering you are mentioning this problem in variation came when whe started using SP2
