PGD
Anyone else have this trouble? Quite a large scene so I zoom in on the Orthographic view to select a piece of geometry, then jump, the viewport moves to the left so far I cant see the thing I'm selecting! Its just getting anoying now, zooming, selecting, then repositioning the view and zooming back in every time... Any cure for this?
charter
This also happens when i am trying to snap on to somthing in ortho, first try jumps second try will snap correctly, I'm also experiencing the magical self emptying material library folder, save a material down come back to it a couple of days later when working on a different project................... and its gone!!?? Dont know the answer to either by the way!
jophus14
If you imported a drawing from CAD it could be an origin issue. If you started a scene in Max then I'm not sure.
PGD
The geometry is imported as 3DS from ArchiCAD. By Origin do you mean the world centre point, because this model is on the centre and still Jumps:confused: Not tried with a max scene tbh
jophus14
Exactly. If the origin of the original model is centered at 0,0,0 then the model would import to those coordinates in Max. If for some reason the models coordinates is different in ArchiCAD, then it will import somewhere in space in Max and this is definitely a problem. Try to reposition the model if it is somewhere in space and that should do it.
