yes another rant about adobe dlm

all i want for christmas is . . .

 

to get this rubbish adobe/akamai download manager working so that i can get a trial of photoshop cs4, it doesn't matter what i do i just can't download anything from the adobe website, even tho it says i need to install dlm, i follow all instructions but then the window just disappears, at which point i was hoping the dlm window would pop up with my photoshop cs4 trial happily downloading, but nope. i get nothing

 

and i just can't get the trial from anywhere else, except torrents, but i don't wish to take that approach, plus work would be a bit funny about me downloading torrents on there machines and mainly in work time

 

does anybody have workarounds or know where i can download a legit photoshop cs4 download that is virus free

yeh for some reason i can't get them with firefox either

 

did you do any special tricks???

Make sure you allow pop ups. Even after the second window opens, it needs to do something else that involves pop ups, or at least that was t\what the Firefox window that was loading the download manager told me. Also, I think the download manager uses Java, so make sure the latest is installed.

hmmm, i'm now getting an error message in opera.

 

when i choose english: windows etc and then hit download it gives me the error screen

 

i just don't think adobe want me to try their products
