hey guys.

need a bit of a hand if i can get one? i seem to be having a problem with glass in vray 1.50 + max 2009 64-bit im doing a scene which is basically going to act as previs for the redecoration of my house and obviously buildings have windows with glass. now rendering from outside i can see in perfectly fine and the glass renders correctly and such but inside.. its black even tho the light on the floor still shows through correctly.. to get the proper look i have to hide the whole glass object see attached renders. ive got both affect shadows and affect alpha turned on in the glass mat. but still no joy. i dont have a background outside per se either just a vray sky mat. but it would be nice to look outside if i decided to put a photo from the window outside on a plane to sell the illusion.. any ideas?

oh it would help if you had an idea of how ive lit it.. ive got a vray sun and 2 vray plane lights in the scene, one vrayplane is just inside the window frame and the other is just inside the back doorframe which is in a room behind the camera and casts a negligable amount of light into the lounge.
