Sawyer
A few weeks ago I was offered an in-house position with a firm here in Davis and I have accepted. Its been a hard transition but the work is good and the people are very nice and the commute is very quick. I have also had conversations with many of my clients in the last few months and I have to say about half of them seem to be in dire or near dire circumstances so I feel like the choice is good all around. And I am leaving a bit of stress at the door at the end of the day which I have to say feels nice.

Tim Nelson
Congrats Sawyer! Can you give us a description of the type of firm you are working for now? Me & you just went in opposite directions. I am heading, nose first, into 'the perfect storm.' Can't say I'm not stressed about it either.

Inxa
Good wishes on the new job, Sawyer. couple of people leaving freelancing and moving for a secure job basis in last few months. Eddie - You would be the few who would be opening news offices this time around. Wish you good luck. Include me in that boat as well

Quique
Congrats, Sawyer! I was suddenly cast off from my 1.5 year job in product visualization (less than a week before Christmas!). So now I'm in treacherous waters of trying to find work in metro areas a couple of hours away.
Tommy L
Congrats Sawyer. Im hearing of layoffs all over the place. My wife works in advertising (she's an art director) and she tells me the ad agencies are cutting back enormously. Someone mentioned they got layed off just before Christmas? Thats nasty....but statistically you are most likely to get laid off in December.....
