Justin Hunt
I have the same problem, I dont have the view cube or steering wheel. I have the latest drivers for my GeForce 9400 GT. I only get crashes in Max2009 64bit, not in 32bit. Ans only happen when I click in the viewport, either to activte or to select something. I have tried both DirectX and OpenGL, no differance. Only thing I can identify as a consistant proble is is I have a model or dwg file the is far from origin. jhv
Ky Lane
Happens occasionally for me too, usually on complex scenes. Gets annoying.
luckyluc
Dear Mark, You made my day. I was working on a project, and the last two weeks were like Hell. I was makeing an animation of a roadconstruction, and each time I started Max 2009. Worked for 1 minute on a mesh. Tried to pan to the next object, or zoom out for soem overview. and Crash. I Also saw sometimes that when I worked in Top view, that al of a sudden topview became perspective view. After I removed the steering wheel, everything is fixed. And I can pan around at lightning speed, and zoom what I want. It feels liks I can fly around my scene. Haven't enjoyed panning so much for a long time. :) Other users please try this. And now lets finish my project!
