hello guys,

dear friends thank u both for being so kind and try to help.

Joseph turning on the legacy sun only made the sun much weaker (darker scene)

Dear Brian affect shadows did solve the problem but i double checked and my Glass material in previous projects did not have affect shadow and worked fine (with max 2009 and vray 32 and vista 32) so pls could u explain why? and if this is the right method ? for i once read that Vray gives fake results this way.

thank u very much

I really don't know why it didn't work for you in 32bit. I have both 32 and 64bit Max/Vray on my machine and in testing with both I can't recreate your situation.

As for being inaccurate, I would say it's the opposite. Selecting the option is more accurate since it allows your glass to transmit the color either from it's refraction swatch or fog setting.

Dear Brian,

First of all Thank u for ur Help i much appreciate it.in the end i am glad it solved my problem but it just seems weird that what worked in vray 32 fine is not the case in Vray 64 as for the Affect shadow issue i will look into it more trying to find the tut where it said we should do without it.any further discoveries i'll report back.

Cheers mate
