jucaro
Hi to all! Is there a way to export the radiosity meshing of max 5 into lightscape? I was thinking of using max 5's 'clean' radiosity meshing into lightscape and process it there. or is this a silly idea? Cheers to all!
Cesar R
why make your tak-- TASK-- (there we go) harder? - why mess around with perfection. LS is great alone. IMO [ December 27, 2002, 06:25 PM: Message edited by: Cesar R ]
nuno
hi jucaro, i dont know a way to export to lightscape as a *.ls file...but, you can assign some textures and map them in max, and then you can export as a *.lp file. best to you, nuno
Dave Buchhofer
You could also put the meshing in manually via the Subdivide modifier before exporting your .lp file also. Not sure what advantage you're looking for though really, Would this set a "base" mesh to work off of? and let the adaptive meshing do the rest of the work..? (Haven't used LS)
jucaro
I was thinking of using MAX5 meshing (because its faster than Lightscape) and then use lightscape to process the radiosity (because, until now, lightscape quality is still the best) it was just a thought though. Assigning materials in lightscape is too painstaking because of the lack of sophisticated tools --which is found in MAX. Tinkering is a process for learning.
