erickdt
Is there any way for me to export a file similar to a virtual quicktime, 3d orbit around an object, type file? I know that there is the panorama export feature in the utilities pallette but that exports a file in which the viewpoint is fixed. What I'm wanting to do is export something where the view can be orbited around an object. Thanks in advance for any help!
Antisthenes
maybe the cult3d plug-in or sophie3d?
erickdt
I was not aware of the fact that apparently none of these panorama programs work with 64bit Windows XP. Not Quicktime, not Cult 3D, not Sophie 3D. Lucky me! No panorama exporting for Erick I'm afraid
Dave Buckley
you can still install them as 32bit though can't you on a 64 bit operating system??? hence the program files (x86) on your c:drive or equivalent

When it comes time to export QTVR it comes up with an error message (in MAX) that says that a Quicktime component is missing.
SandmanNinja
That's an Apple issue - they're not playing nice with Microsoft's 64-bit OSes. I have XP64 and use Firefox and the DevalVR plugin works great for me. I render out using the 32-bit version of 3ds and play it inside of firefox/devalvr (I forget the exact name). works a charm.
