payam
I'm new to 3D Max and trying to practic LOFT how can i control the way the shape is being displayed on the path. for example if the path is a rectangle and the shpe is L how can i control the which way L is displayed along the path ? the rotation does not work . what if i wan the L to be upside on the path to have the edge outward? I really appreciate if some one could help me with that. thanks
Peter M. Gruhn
I don't know if it's the right way, but you can go in to the shape, go to vertex selection, select all the vertices and rotate them (you'll maybe need to go up to the tool bar for the button that switches from "use pivot point center" to "use selection center". You might also want to look at the Sweep modifier (not object, it's a modifier applied to shapes). It doesn't do everything loft does, does one two things loft doesn't and is often enough all that people need.
