Sketchrender
I have been asked to put a the budget together for the coming year. We use 2 copies of Max and have a subscription. We also use Vray 2 copies. Will there be additional cost on vray the in the next release? Is the max subscription going to change? Is there anything else that should be factored in? Thanks for the advise. phil
Devin Johnston
SP3 for vray is coming out soon but will be free, however if you want to use the real-time render engine that will be coming out later you'll probably have to pay for it. I'd expect the subscription fee for Max to stay about the same, it wouldn’t hurt to add a percent or two increase to what you paid last year. If you want to buy any libraries of models or materials I'd put that in as well as any new software you want to try and any hardware updates you think you'll need. Jim Mann
The max subscription has recently gone up - or at least in the UK it has gone up. Mine needed renewing on Jan 6 and it cost more than last years. Unfortunately I paid for it with the company credit card and have just sent all my receipts and statements to my accountant so don't have a record of what the new price is. Your reseller will be able to tell you. Jim Edited January 16, 2009 by Jim Mann
