jameson101
Here are 3 renders I have recently done. I modeled this 2 years ago and now the client wants us to continue(long Story). No post work has been done. There is no Vray Displacement and would like to keep the render as quick as possible bacuase I am doing a long animation and don't have much time. I am using 3d Studio max, Vray and onyx trees. Any help/comments on improving the renders would be greatly appreciated. All materials are to the architects specification, I know it looks like a prison.

shaneis
...would like to keep the render as quick as possible bacuase I am doing a long animation and don't have much time... Exteriors: - match the brick texture of the planter boxes with the rest of the brick work, - lose the reflections on the garage door (paint them in if you really need them), - the road texture looks procedural, yes? Maybe darken it just a bit. If you have a reasonable res image, use that instead. - Paint stripes look 3D rather than paint. (see above) Interior: - All looks OK for a rush job (no offence intended), but I think you'd be better off rendering a separate reflection pass (apply blur in post, render sharp refl. and adjust softness as needed in your comp software). - Get rid of the reflections on the ceiling material. jameson101
The bricks are 20cm by 10cm. What is the size of a normal brick?
neil poppleton
A brick uk metric is 215mm x 65mm with a 10mm joint so they map 225 x 75mm including a joint
skala67
I think the car parked next to the building may be too small also.
