IES lights

Hey-

I need to create an accurate representation of lighting conditions based on IES lights. The file that I got from the consultant works as a regular target light with one exception. I have to turn the orientation of the fixture 180 degrees. Easy to do as a regular(photometrc) light but seemingly not possible as a Vray IES. Does anyone either know how to adjust the IES orientation, or what the exact intensity change would need to be from rendering a regular IES using VRAY?

TIA

If u r referring to an vray IES, u can either do it checking the targeted option, or just unchecking it, and simply rotating it. I don't recommend vray IES, I had some shadow problems, i couldn't find a way to smooth shadows or use area shadows. I recommend using a photometric free light, u will find more options so u can controll it a little bit more. And there u can use the rotation options or either rotate them yourself. I hope that answers your question.

Thanks for getting back to me. I am presently using the a photometric light because it does allow for greater control, but I dont know how much intensity I have to increase it, because it is not a vray light, the strength of the light has to be increased, I just dont know by how much. Any ideas?
