mikes8500
My office is transitioning to 64 bit, vista workstations, I've got a 64bit 8 core, 8gb workstation for me that is an animal and 2 other 64bit quad core machines all with 64 bit max and vray installed. Rest of the office, around a dozen machines are 32bit XP. For some animations I'd like to use every possible machine, so is it possible to have both versions of max installed on the 64bit slaves? How does it work with backburner, does the proper version of max get initiated automatically depending if the job is submitted as 32 bit or 64? dbibb
Yep, backburner knows which version of Max to start for each job. After you start the server on your slave machines it will tell you which plugins (versions of 3ds max) you have installed on that machine and are available to pick up jobs.
