ingo
Well, you could use some stucco texture Simply use a procedural shader (like turbulence) in the diffuse, color and bump channel with a fine variation of the original settings; if that is possible in 3DS-Max. Mike Hagelsieb
How's it going everyone? I have a simple question...Could someone offer some advice on how to quickly make a texture for walls? The look of simple white walls always makes my walls look blan. I know I could use some stucco texture or something....but I was wondering if there is an easier method of using some of the other materials in max. (simple off-white with noise...or something like that) I'm just looking for something that looks like it has a little variation in it. Simple question...with I'm sure a simple answer. We just got 3d studio max and brazil at work...I'm used to using Lightscape(rip) . Thanks! -Mike
Erik Lund
I prefer the stucco bitmap in the the bump channel,... then what ever color u want in the diffuse channel. Looks great! Check out this example: http://www.drealm.net/ws_4_14.htm If you look @ the walls you'll notice a very subtle effect,.. it looks much better in the hi-res renderings though.
