bluedogok
hey Adam, Is i possible to set-up a tour of the facility and see the boxxes in all it's glory? If you get a chance, do it. Our offices are about a mile away from BOXX and several of us met with them last fall and went on the tour. Some of us are still pushing to move from Dell to BOXX equipment but the economy threw a monkey wrench in to those plans. Adam was working on a rack unit that was headed for a show but still took the time to show us some of the stuff that it will do.
BOXXLABS
Hi Scott - I remember when you guys came through -that was just before SIGGRAPH and we were getting a little renderfarm (only 160 cores) together for the BOXX booth. We're always up for a visit and tour here at the facilities--
Ron Schatz ASAI
5years later my old Dual Z scsi BOXX is still working for my Film student after I upgraded to a new BOXX. I can and still build a good computer now and then but I have replaced them far faster than the BOXXes I have. A BOXX cost me about 10 to 12% more than building one(that includes the OS XP-64 is what? 140-160 and Vista Ha.) But if and when a Boxx has a problem I call Roman at 8:30am and get some REAL help, all of the service department know how to get them machines running, That worth more that the 12% I save on Building one. Dells with same (quality) parts as a BOXX is not available but with the same speed (not balanced to the hardware) is and has been always more $ every time I check. If You need a Pro Workstation, Dude Your gettin a BOXX that ROCX The service is unmatched
ihabkal
I tried to get some Boxx here three years ago, the dealer is in Dubai, it gets more expensive with shipping and import taxes to Lebanon. Maybe someday when I move to the modern world I will get some.
