Dave Buckley
Having a problem getting my z-depth image right, i don't know what values to set for my minum and maximum values in the render elements. it keeps returning white, i have enclosed a screenshot showing a top view of the scene which displays camera position, could somebody dupe this to show me where i should measure from and too for minimum and maximum values to get my z-depth right, i need to use it for depth of field
mattclinch
from just in front of the first (bottom) ball, to just after the last (top) ball. have you got your exposure control still on or soemthing? are you doing it as an element?
Dave Buckley
hmm yes, doing it as an element. and exposure control is on for the main render, how can i do a separate one altogether matt i'm starting to feel like i should buy you a few beers or something
Dave Buckley
oh and where am i measuring from??? my camera i guess minimum, camera to first ball maximum, camera to second ball??? do i not need to worry about the studio screen behind the balls
mattclinch
if you're doing it as an element, leave exposure control as is. min - from camera to just BEFORE the first ball max - from camera to just AFTER the last ball the studio screen will white out, which is what you want anyway i guess.
