markf
A house on a ski resort accessed by small road for electric car. Any c & c to help make this better is much appreciated. http://www.openrangeimaging.com/test-posts/Seeforever_House01_Lowres.jpg
JonRashid
Nice image but how high is that kerb?
BillyElNino
Some good stuff going on. As the road and the kerb are so close to the camera I think you should get a decent asphalt / road texture and a good kerbstone texture to match. The road is tiling at the moment. I don't know what this would look like in reality, would it be covered in slush and salt grit? I would try and match in your conifer greens to the colours in your background trees a bit more too. The ski carrying people need toning down drastically, they're actually half in shade in that position aren't they? Knock them back a bit I think. You need to address the blurred glass material too, this is not helping the image. What material is the roof covering? It looks like a metal standing seam but is very matt. markf
Thank you for your replies! Agree on all counts and was planning to address those issues. The road is exposed aggregate concrete with snow melt to keep the slush etc clear. The roof is rusted metal standing seam. I'll post an updated image here soon. mattclinch
have you replaced/changed the sky at all?
Jeff Mottle
I think you need to adjust the lighting of your 3d model or the composited version of it. The background scene has a very blue/cool light cast due to the time of day, but your model is more like sunet. Too red/warm. I was thinking more like the attached. markf
Thank you for your replies! I have not replaced or changed the sky in the background photo. I took the photograph at about 9:00 AM on about the shortest day of the year. I am using a Vray environment with some slight blue tint and a direct spot light with a bit of yellow tint. I will try shifting the spotlight color towards blue and see how that feels.
