Macca23
Hi guys, Not posted in quite a while as ive only just finished uni! Now i have some spare time i thought id build up my portfolio before i try applying for any jobs (even in this time of crisis) so here's a small job. Its basically a view from a beach hut overlooking a beach/sea. At the minute i've put the stuff in place as you can see, but im going to have the curtains moving from a wind reactor just outside the doors. I cant for the life of me remember how to use reactor though, does anyone know any good tutorials? I remember i have to make the curtain rings a rigid body and the curtains a cloth collection, but i will need to attach specific vertices to the rings so that the curtain doesn't just fall to the floor. Cheers in advance guys!
Macca23
hi again, ive managed to get the reactor cloth working, but both curtains move exactly the same, id like a bit of variation, is there anyway to make them move slightly differently? different masses maybe? Also does anybody know how to extend the animation, ive changed the keyframes to 300 but the reactor animation still only works up to 100?
Dave Buckley
just select the keyframes and then move them to 300, with regards to cloth, can you not just add another wind force and then only link it to one of the curtains??? or just add a few wind forces and then change the angle of the wind (variation etc) then the wind will have different strengths on different parts of the curtain making them fall and blow differently
Macca23
cheers dave. Ive set the keyframes to 500 instead of 100, but when you click on reactor on the toolbar and create animation. It only creates the animation up to 100 keyframes, even though there are 500 on the timeline.
