3Ds max 2009 problem

In my 3ds max 2009 the select by name dialogue box only displays geometry instead on name of particular element or shape instead of particular element. how to solve this issue.See the attachment. Can any hellp me?

try right clicking on the bar where it reads "type". a menu will pop up and the n choose "column chooser". there you can select "name" and drag it to the bar.

hope this solves the problem.
