how to render wood and mantain the texture in vray sketchup?

hi people, could anyone give me a clue or two, about how to render wood floor for example , ( with vray in sketchup ) and still mantain the texture?

because when i try to do so, with some shine and stuff, it looses texture

and end up with just one color .

sorry for this easy question for the most of you, but i just can´t find where to solve it

Hi, I'm just adding that I've the same problem in wood texturing and makes my customers a little bit hard to decide the texture type... so pls help me.
