mikes8500
I'm diving into doing a night rendering with Max's IES lights. I'm getting these weird spots showing up. Can you guys look at my settings and let me know what I'm doing wrong? Mike
Nic H
I dont see any spots -maybe a few white artifacts (check subpixel/clamp output) You should use vrayies lights as well - much faster than max ones. i also noticed you have your dark multiplier at 2 in your colour mapping, any reason for this? When using LWF you shouldnt do this, it defeats the purpose. Expose using your camera instead.
Victor Erthal
on your irradiance tab. uncheck "show samples". that setting is more of a diagnostics feature so you can see where the sampling gets denser on your model. disabling it should solve the problem. mikes8500
Thanks you guys, the show samples was the ticket, knew it was something stupid. Vrayies or max photmetrics, I notice that the vrayies dosn't show up in lightlister? Had the dark multiplier up from a day scene. What do you guys use for spot lights? I'm having trouble using vrayies for that. Edited February 4, 2009 by mikes8500
