cupsster
Hello all, i would ask for your opinion about AA in renderings [MR based]... Which values do you typically use in animations or still images based on output size/fps and maybe some performance fine tuning [flickering] examples or custom experience ... & AA discussion and work-flow in general Feel free to post
Justin Hunt
in general animations need a higher level of AA, especially if there is alot of fine detail. Typically I use 4,16 Mitcheal of 5,5 (makes it sharp but blends more). If render times get blown out then try 1,16 It is better to render out to sequential stills rather than a AVI or Mov. Its easier to recover from crashes or re-render certain frames that may have failed. Frame size depend on your final output (PAL, NTSC etc) Remeamber to calculate the FG and Photons (every nth frame) before you render all the frames. Stops flickering. There are a few threads covering this so do a search for "Flickering Final Gather" jhv
