SandmanNinja
There is a free utility from Autodesk that will let you convert newer AutoCAD files to older versions. DWGTrueview 2009? I forgot - I installed it once and it took an autocad 2009 file and my autocad 2006 reads it just fine now. I can suggest 3dat's Intermediate to Advanced book - chapters 2 thru 5 - they should help. Tommy Burns
You really need to do some studying on how to read plans if you are doing architectural work. Or else you can get someone to do the modeling for you while you learn. It takes a while to learn how to read plans properly and if not done right it can lead to huge problems in the long run. That book is a good start but if it was me I would put off that project till you learn how to acurately read plans.
