...so that we can be understood better.

...so that we may be better understood. ;)

Gasoline, as an international student, I'd imagine you'll find it difficult to find this sort of work. That is not to say that it is impossible, just unlikely. You would be better off looking for casual work in a design studio and selling your 3D skills as an added bonus to the employer.

As for which university and which city, that's entirely up to you. Best of luck with your studies and job-hunting.

Like the rest of the world Australia is suffering the financial squeeze. It will be a tough time to try and get work in this area. There is still work around but there is also a lot of competition for it.

Your images are very nice, better than mine but your lack of local industry experience will make it tough. From my own experience Melbourne has been a very good city to live in. One of its best assets is the public transport, it will make it easy to get to all the universities, especially if you live near the city.

Good luck

Not sure about the legality of working either. Depends on your Visa type.

I think you can under a Student Visa, but NOT in the industry that you want to work in and only for a fixed number of hours per week (i.e. not a lot of hours).

You might need to find a Migration Agent to assist you, but they are expensive as well.
