Fran
I was doing a very quick test scene to troubleshoot a problem for someone. The scene consisted of a room with an opening to represent a window, with Vray sun as the only lighting. It turned out very orange. I know that the height of the sun object affects the color, but it still colored the walls to an unrealistic amount no matter how high the sun was. So my dumb Vray Sun question is: how do you keep the sunlight from being so orange?
WAcky
perhaps lower the turbidity too? and try raising your ozone setting? also if you're using vrayphyscam its probaby easiest to change your whitebalance...
Dave Oliver
i know there is that set of images put out by the vray team (i think) that shows examples of all the different settings how about we just dont use vraysun until it works more like the sun in sketchup
BrianKitts
So my dumb Vray Sun question is: how do you keep the sunlight from being so orange? Use the vrayphysical camera's white balance adjustment to decrease the sun's color effect.
Fran
Thanks guys. I had decreased ozone and turbitity in some tests last night and that did reduce it some. I thought about adjusting the white balance in the camera settings, but D65 seems neutral enough, so I didn't change it. I'll have another look at that. I'll also take a look at the online Vray docs. CHE
Hi Fran, Are you using a Vray Sky for the environment? If so, make sure the Vray Sun is linked to the Vray Sky. I have ran to a similar problem before and that was the issue. I hope it helps. -Ernesto
LuckyST
I agree with CHE. you most likely forgot to apply the vraysky.
Fran
Thanks guys. I was only trouble-shooting light leaks for another user. The sun color really didn't matter to me, but I was curious.
