amer abidi
Been working on this huge project, and so had the FG map rendered and stored for the rendering of the animation and all was set for days... only yesterday, a small number of buildings have been added to the site, and the camera passes right by them in the animation. My question is if i unlock the FG map, and render a few frames around and about the new structures, will the new FG points be "added" to the exisitng FG solution map without causing any problems, or am i to expect flickering in the animation due to the new points being added? Should i just keep my existing solutoin locked, and compromise on the rendering quality of these new structures, or go ahead and add a few frames to it without fear of loss of stability? PS. re rendering the whole FG solution again is NOT an option as i am very pressed for time.
SandmanNinja
Bri should know for sure. I'd guess no. I feel it would overwrite what's there with the new calc. Just load / make a very simple scene and test it.
Justin Hunt
bare in mind though that if a FG sample exists at a certain point it will be skiped when you recalculate. Having said that if your adding new buildings the chances of sample already existing would be slim. So new ones will be added and should be flicker free. jhv
