Jeff Mottle
IOMEDIA Helps The New York Yankees Promote Their New Stadium New York, New York - February 19, 2009 - IOMEDIA has completed a wide range of digital communications tools to market, sell, and inform Yankees fans and business partners about the New Yankee Stadium. “We knew that we were building a world class facility and IOMEDIA was able to help us share our new venue with our fans in a way that has never been done before. Our goal was to bring our fans into the Stadium, its seats, restaurants, concessions areas and concourses. IOMEDIA was able to accomplish our goals with the most lifelike interactive 3D seating tool and High Definition fly-through video that have ever been produced.” -- Lonn Trost, Chief Operating Officer of The New York Yankees In order to meet the challenge and uphold the New York Yankees’ legendary brand, IOMEDIA re-defined what online seat navigation can be by creating the first true 360-degree 3D seat viewer and the most immersive real-time stadium seat selector application online today. The seat selector is currently live on Yankees.com and can be viewed at the following link: http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/ballpark/ new_stadium_seat_selector.jsp The interactive seat selector includes 360-degree views of the front, middle, and back of each section, as well as providing views from many of the amenities, bleachers, and Premium Seating locations. The “virtual stadium” includes architecturally accurate specifications, and a variety of interactive features enabling fans to have the most lifelike experience. The user can navigate between different views, remove sections of the Stadium for more detail, and even cast shadows on the Stadium determining which seats fall under the sun or shade for different dates throughout the season. IOMEDIA produced all of its work for the New York Yankees by building upon its innovative concept of an “integrated 3D” digital asset, forming the foundation of the entire communications program and enabling the cohesive blend of marketing, sales, sponsorship, and advertising tools. Included in the line-up was a 30-minute High Definition edited television production highlighting the history and 3D visualization of the Stadium with a narrative from a cast of celebrities, sports hosts, and Yankees greats. The program was initially utilized as part of the current season ticket holder relocation package that was distributed to over 40,000 households and at regular season games throughout the 2008 season. IOMEDIA also developed a custom interactive sponsorship tool which, given the diverse user base, needed to be incredibly comprehensive as well as easy to use. The application needed to be easily updateable to accommodate changes in sponsorship naming areas, ticket pricing, contact information, and more. Visually the program needed to bring to life the Premium Seating options that were new additions to the Stadium and entice potential sponsors with their luxurious offerings. Once completed, IOMEDIA incorporated these elements, along with a number of high resolution marketing images, into the New York Yankees’ Premium Seating Sales Office located at Rockefeller Plaza. By developing new technologies and creatively integrating them into a complete multi-faceted campaign, IOMEDIA supported the New York Yankees by providing an extraordinarily innovative sales, marketing, and communication experience like no other. AJLynn
The graphics are nice but the better way to make money would be to win the games.

Dave Buchhofer
"first true 360-degree 3D seat viewer" Aww, mine in 2003 for the phillies didn't count I guess Shame they replaced my qtvr's with horribly taken pictures of the stadium a few weeks after it was open! Excellent packaging and overall work.
Lester_Masterson
A company I used to work for did something like this for Air Canada Centre in Toronto. They never used it, because the most of the old seats from Maple Leaf Gardens were actually "better" than the new seat locations. (and cost more) Gotta love that strategy. (goes with how they handle players, coaches, GM's, etc.etc.etc.)
Devin Johnston
So they rendered a 360 from each of the stadium locations and tied it into a flash presentation, that's pretty cool!
