need help with extend desktop

I've been using the 2nld display, and some of the menus in 3d max have been displayed on the other desktop.

 

now when I'm on a single display, those menus are still stuck on the 2ndary display.

 

I've disabled the "extend desktop" but the damn menus are still there.

 

(such as the move/rotate) properties you get by right clicking on the icon.

 

 

how do I get the window back?

From my notes

 

weird problems with the interface?? Blow away (or rename) 3dsmax.ini

C:\Documents and Settings\[uSERNAME]\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax\9 - 32bit\enu

 

3ds will make a nice, clean one when it doesn't see the old one.

(replace the pathing in the above with your pathing)

 

I think you can reset the User Interface, but I'm not sure.

thanks. I ended up running to my friends house to hook up to his desktop (I'm using a laptop).

 

 

I'll try it next time I mess it up

Anymore I just hit Alt and Spacebar at the same time, then hit M key, followed by an arrow key. Then move the mouse.
